Love marriage vs Arrange marriage - Which one is better?

Marriage is a very important part in everyone’s life. Everyone desires to have a perfect match (life partner), but the way for choosing the partner is different for each other. In love marriage, persons prefer to choose their life associates on their own, but in arranged marriages individuals prefer partners chosen by their family or parents. There is big debate on Love marriage Vs arranged marriage to choose or to finalized the perfect match for marriage. Let’s analyze which one is better.

Love marriage

• Both persons know each other already and jointly decide to live the whole life with each other.
• Pair is responsible for its option and responsibility of the blame in future lies on the couple only and nobody else.
• Couple is aware of each one’s likes and dislikes. Therefore they will be happy for a long time.
• Couple can destroy social evil like dowry with their mutual permission because they have the freedom to take such decisions at their own level.

Arrange marriage:

• Arrange Marriage is not a contract between two individuals alone but a joining together of two families.
• Two families concerned in arranged marriages may know each other very well and are well-matched with each other.
• Because there are more people involved in arrange marriage, the differences between the pair will be successfully resolved or mitigated.
• Couple is guided by parents experience whereas in love marriage couple is unknown about the future complexity in life and lacks this experience.

Conclusion:

Both ways have their pros and conc.  Marriage is a choice of life. Even though families are involved in most of the marriages, it’s the couple which has to live together for life span. So, the decisions to choose life partner should give to the individuals are full of uncertainties.

So there is no clarity to decide which is good. I am observing a couple who had love marriage and one more couple who had arranged marriage from the last 5 Years. Both the pairs are happy and they are having much affection on each other. So in my point whether it may be love marriage or arranged marriage, you should love your life partner and you should respect your life partner’s opinions.
