Veeramachaneni Ramakrishna Rao may is an accountant by his profession but in the few months he is becoming most popular in Telugu states with his Diet plan. He is explaining a diet plan to reduce weight upto 35Kgs within 2-3 months. He is also mentioning that with his diet plan type-2 diabetes will be prevented. He is also challenging doctors to prove his diet plan is wrong. Ramakrishna Rao is hailing as Diet Magician in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He is conducting multiple events in both Telugu states and explaining about his diet plan. Most of the TV channels are busy themselves by conducting serious debates about him.

How did this happen?

Veeramachaneni claims to have shed about 30 kg in less than three months, and that is possible only with his special diet, which he calls K.E.T.O. If you browse on Google, you will find lots of videos and articles where Ramakrishna Rao explaining the K.E.T.O diet to thousands of viewers. The K.E.T.O diet is famous and it is the combination of High fat, adequate protein and low carbohydrate foods. The diet forces the body to burn fat rather than carbohydrates. However, Ramakrishna Rao claims to have never heard of the popular KETO diet, neither has he realized the uncanny similarity with the namesake.

Ramakrishna Rao’s diet program

Earlier, Ramakrishna Rao reportedly about 123 Kgs and he followed all kinds of diet and exercises that he had tried went in ineffective. Later, he boarded on a diet based on four pillars which are consuming 70-80 grams of fat, 3 Lemons, 4 liters of water and one multi vitamin tablet per day. Ramakrishna Rao claims that his diet also known as VRK diet, it does not help only in losing weight but also reverses Type-2 diabetes according to a report in Gulf news.

According to Ramakrishna Rao, the reason behind an increasing and announcing belly lies in refined products, including oil, flour, rice and sugar apart from one’s habit of reckless eating. Ramakrishna Rao telling that healthy fats like coconut oil, ghee, olive oil, butter and cheese are the beneficial to our body. Ramakrishna Rao also suggested that one should consume minimum amount of carb intake and binge on meat, vegetable and curries in the meantime.  To protect his claim that the direct intake of virgin coconut oil and other fats can reverse diabetes, he also refers to Dr. PV Sathyanarayana, a cardiologist from Guntur of Andhra Pradesh, who had demanded an interview that he could control the malady by including healthy fats in his diet. Food coloring, mono sodium glutamate, milk and yogurt need to be completely avoided.

Here is the sample diet plan for a day:

  • Start the day with a glass of hot water with one lemon into it.
  • Breakfast: Eggs (knotted, poached, omelet or boiled or curried with any vegetables), followed by a vitamin tablet.
  • Mid-morning: Vegetables or mutton/ chicken/beef soup with any of the recommended fats enthused in.
  • Lunch: Vegetable salads with pepper and olive oil (no salt). Vegetable curries should be cooked in coconut oil, olive oil, ghee or butter with us a slight bit of sea salt or rock salt.
  • Evening: Vegetable Salad.
  • Last meal (before 7.30pm): Soup with fat to complete the daily optional 70 grams of fat.
  • One multi Vitamin tablet after the last meal.
  • A minimum of 4 liters of water has to be consumed throughout the day.

One can have lemons either with water or thin buttermilk. Veeramachaneni advises that the buttermilk should be made with two spoonful of yogurt, mixed with one and half liters of water. 8 types of vegetables should be avoided in this diet. The eight vegetables are Potato, Chama, Kanda, Pendalam, Chilakada, Beet root, Raw Banana and Beans. 3 vegetables (tomato, onion, carrot) can take partially. Remaining all the vegetables can be taken immediately.

For further food, one can have grilled or tandoori meat steeped in sea salt, chilly/pepper, turmeric, ginger-garlic paste and home-made spice powder no more than 300 gm. for men and 250 gm. for women. Otherwise, one can opt for boiled, steamed, stir-fried or curried vegetables for lunch. Half onion and a small tomato are recommended per day. While Ramakrishna Rao has gathered immense popularity among people, the medical community continues to remain divided over the benefits of this diet.

So in his entire diet plan there are only 4 pillars. First one is 70 -100 grams fat per day, Second one is 3 lemons per day, Third 4 liters of water per day and Fourth one multi vitamin tablet per day. The list of vegetables and the way how to take we explained clearly.
